Moon Missions: Apollo 8
Introduction
Apollo 8 was a mission of many firsts. It was the first manned mission to leave Earth’s gravitational hold and enter lunar orbit. The Apollo 8 astronauts were the first to see and photograph the Earth rising over the moon’s limb.
